Remembering Claude Bardos

· 1 min read

I was deeply saddened to know of Claude Bardos’s passing. Although I had few opportunities to speak with him, his work and his example profoundly influenced me.

During my years at LJLL, he continued to attend seminars, take part actively in discussions, and ask insightful questions, even at the age of 85. His enduring curiosity and dedication to research left a deep impression on me.

In my memory, he will always be sitting in the first row of the seminar room, with his glasses hanging from a cord around his neck, speaking calmly and clearly, and always with a warm smile on his face.

May he rest in peace.
